Support for adopted young people

Our support to you

If you have not worked with us before, you may be wondering what we have to offer. We have a wide range of support and therapies available to our young people and their families. Sometimes building a relationship with your family’s social worker is enough to give you space for any ‘messy thoughts’ that you may be working out.

Other times we may refer you to a service which has youth workers who can build this relationship with you and take you out or engage you in activities that allow you to explore your thoughts and feelings. In some instances, a therapist is helpful to work with your parents and sometimes with you to dig deeper into the more tricky stuff. If we feel you are not safe, or if you feel unsafe and worried for your wellbeing, then Children's Services may also become involved to help keep you and your family safe.
