Relationship Based Non Violence Resistance (NVR) - Training

Our Relationship Based Parenting NVR Programme is an approach that helps parents to feel more connected to their children and to help parents feel back in control, to resist challenging behaviours and to ultimately stop them. It can be used by anyone in any situation; however it has had lots of success with families where the children have been through loss, separation, trauma, abuse and/or neglect during the early years of their life.

The next programme will take place on: 18/9/2025, 25/9/2025, 2/10/2025, 9/10/2025, 16/10/2025, 23/10/2025, 06/11/2025

Time: 9.30 am to 11.30 am

The programme comprises:

• Seven sessions which are two hours in duration
• Four 1:1 sessions with a member of the Therapeutic Team
• Monthly embedding sessions

Places on this programme are usually funded via an application to the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund.

An assessment of need will need to be completed by an ACE social worker prior to the course.
